‘Star Wars: Episode 8’ Premiere, News & Updates: Mark Hamill Reveals Luke Skywalker’s Storyline In ‘Star Wars: Episode 8’

In his recent appearance in the United Kingdom, Mark Hamill spilled a huge hint about Luke Skywalker's fate in the new trilogy - "Star Wars: Episode 8."

According to HNGN, this incident happened in London recently, where Hamill sponsored The Big Issue, a homeless charity, during a promotion event. The actor said that after "Episode 8, I'm out of work." Many fans took this seemingly simple and straightforward answer as a hint upon Luke Skywalker's destiny in the "Star Wars" franchise.

Fans led to believe that Luke Skywalker will no longer show up in "Star Wars: Episode 9," and thus, arousing the speculations that Luke would die in "Star Wars: Episode 8." With the death of Han Solo under the hands of Kylo Ren in "The Force Awakens," another "legendary character" death may be something diehard fans will take heavily.

In the past, the production team Lucasfilms by George Lucas had done a great job of keeping project details strictly confidential, or a little-to-no information have occurred during the production season of "The Force Awakens." Thus, this statement from Hamill was met with both apprehension and shock, as fans all over the world are desperate to get as much "Star Wars: Episode 8" information as they can.

Furthermore, upon hearing of the madness he has caused with his comment, Hamill took to his twitter account to debunk any speculations he has caused to rise. He tweeted, "I meant 'out of work' because #Ep8 is wrapping soon, OK? #DontOverThinkEVERYTHING #ParsingHamill #WaitForVIII."

Although, this doesn't guarantee the fans that Luke will survive through "Star Wars: Episode 8," and fans will have to wait around 18 months until the newest installment premieres.

Meanwhile, according to Screen Rant, Hamill and Daisy Ridley have finished their last day of filming for the newest "Star Wars" film. The actors themselves shared this milestone on their respective Instagram accounts, with Ridley posting a photo of Rey holding a lightsaber in fighting formation, while Hamill posting a photo of the film's wrap party.

The cast had the privilege of filming "Star Wars: Episode 8" in Croatia, Ireland and the Pinewoods Studios in England.
