‘No Man’s Sky’ Latest News & Update: Hello Games Not Saying ‘Die’

Hello Games is aware that its supposed hit game, “No Man’s Sky”, has been dropping faster than ever, proof of which is the number of active players remaining for the space exploration game As mentioned in a previous post, the number of active players have dramatically dropped from 157,000 to 10,000, all in a span of 10 days.

The 90% drop is attributed is blamed on the fact that “No Man’s Sky” was buggy and pretty much recurring. Disheartening as that decrease in active players may be, such has not stopped Hello Games from moving forward. Game developers continue to patch the game, something common for newly released games.

Too much hype can kill

One thing worth noting is that “No Man’s Sky” may have bitten off more than it could chew. Pushing that the game had 18 quintillion planets to explore, players were counting on unique settings for each world.

That included different creatures, landscapes, and adversaries, something that much observed was similar. Hence, there was no uniqueness in all that and hence the decline of interest. So now, it will be up to the company to erase that unfortunate stigma.

Then there are the performance issues tied up for both the game console and the PC versions. It lacked the stability that hardcore gamers counted on though several released patches have reportedly addressed all that.

Given the long list of problems that Hello Games faces, “No Man’s Sky” game developers are not ready to throw in the towel. They continue to fix the bugs and plan to release future (free) updates to rebuild the lost credibility of the game.

It may be best for Hello Games may need to do is hold on and value the remaining 10,000 gamers. And they can do so by improving the game for both the PS4 and PC, something the remaining explorers' claim has improved and stabilized.
