The hype is there, but the complete package is awfully missing. The PS4 Pro has arrived in a manner most gamers think is too conventional for a more advance device. Nevertheless, Sony chose to play it that way. Now, as players begin to settle on the new PS4 Pro, Sony put to rest rumors suggesting, the device will have an elite controller.
Apparently not, and Sony is not contemplating on a new PS4 pro elite controller. In an interview with Sony's Mark Cerny on The Verge, he implied that, there's no need to add the elite controller. Sony aims to provide a unified gaming platform and the next gen controller is a matter of "must have" and "have not" in the part of the player.
Although Cerny did not downright reject the idea of PS4 Pro elite controller in the future, he also mentioned that, there are third party controllers that are way better than the elite ones; rival console features. This is something that Cerny wants to clear, that players can still choose another form of compatible controller for the PS4 console.
Meanwhile, Sony also explained the 1GB addition on the memory of the all new PS4 Pro console. Mark Cerny explained that, the additional 1GB on the PS4 Pro memory is a slow, conventional DRAM that Sony want to include for better app switching. In a conventional gaming-Netflix feature, the additional 10 percent allocation will prevent lagging while switching between applications.
The PS4 Pro is scheduled for release on the 10th of November 2016. It will be the third version of the conventional PS4, with PS4 Slim coming right in between. The Pro version will have a market price of $399, which you can expect to NOT feature the PS4 Pro elite controller, but rather; an additional 1GB in its memory.
