‘Red Dead Redemption 2' on Nintendo Switch Shows Bleak Future; See Why Analysts Believe, It Will Never Happen
It might sound weird to even consider it, but the upcoming "Red Dead Redemption 2" is not a candidate on the all new Nintendo Switch. It is however, groomed to be part of the PS4, Xbox One and PC platform. But before we kill the fans' anticipation, the idea came from Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter.
In a an interview with GamingBolt, he merely said "I would say the chances of that are exceedingly poor... I just think that Nintendo has wandered too far away from the mainstream for most of the publishers."
Apparently, the idea is not confirmed by Nintendo, and despite the bleak future of the "Red Dead Redemption 2" coming to the Nintendo Switch, nothing is final until they say it is NOT coming. Pachter thinks that, because Nintendo has been aloof on mainstream publishers, the idea of these companies to create game for the Nintendo platforms remain subtle and far in between.
If Pachter's prediction is true, Nintendo players are bound to lose another good chance of playing mainstream games like the "Red Dead Redemption 2."
He also mentioned how GTA was once designed for the DS, but as the company veered from such type of games, the analyst said, he'd be surprised if Nintendo will ever put time to port the game on the next generation platform.
Of course the idea is totally based on one's analysis. Even if the "Red Dead Redemption 2" can't find its way on the new Nintendo Switch, it is possible that in the next 3-4 years it will, through similar features like the backwards compatibility program.
The "Red Dead Redemption 2" was confirmed by Rockstar last month, following inquiries about the title after "Red Dead Redemption" recently made it to the Xbox One backwards compatibility feature.
