'Street Fighter 5' News & Update: Akuma Is The Newest DLC Character! Find Out More Here!

If it feels like something or someone has been missing from "Street Fighter 5," then look no further. One of the series's classic villains, Akuma, is finally coming to the game as the newest DLC from Capcom.

Akuma was revealed in a new special teaser trailer right after the finals of the Red Bull Battle Grounds, a big "Street Fighter 5" professional tournament. IGN reports that Akuma will most likely be coming with a new stage, a completely destroyed dojo that you can see in his reveal video.

GameSpot also reports that Akuma's special move will be his classic Shun Goku Satsu, which can be seen in the new "Street Fighter 5" trailer below. There's a bit of subtlety in the move's depiction, as the screen turns pitch black while a red eye moves around to the sound of Akuma beating the ever-loving life out of his opponent.

At the end of the special move, a set of Kanji flares up on his back as he strikes his famous back-turned pose, translating to "godlike." Some speculate that his V-Trigger could see him transforming into the even more powerful Shin Akuma in "Street Fighter 5."

The Akuma DLC for "Street Fighter 5" follows the game's September update, which was the last patch Capcom released for the game. The big addition to the game on that DLC was new character Urien, who became available to purchase using Fight Money or real world currency. Many balance fixes were also made to the game.

There's no word yet on when the Akuma DLC will be hitting "Street Fighter 5," but with a first look and a new stage, there's no doubt that it'll be sooner than later. Fans can first experience Akuma at Capcom's setup at the PlayStation Experience, which will be happening at the Anaheim Convention Center on the weekend of December 3 and 4.
