Jamie Dornan News & Udpate: ‘The Fall’ Actor Answers Ian Somerhalder Replacing Rumors; Does He Mocks ‘The Vampire Diaries’ Star?

There are strong swirling rumors that Jamie Dornan will get replaced by Ian Somerhalder in the upcoming steamy films "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed." Of course, "The Fall" actor heard the news and aired his side as he graced Jimmy Kimmel's late night show.

Jimmy Kimmel asked Jamie Dornan if the rumors that he will be replaced by Ian Somerhalder as Christian Grey in "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed" are true. The husband of Amelia Warner only shrugged it off and simply said that "no" and he doesn't know.

"That would be really hard for them to do, considering we shot both of the movies," Jamie Dornan said. The 34-year-old Northern Irish actor even went on to explain that it would be a very expensive mistake for the producers, but he still sent the best of luck to Ian Somerhalder, Cosmopolitan reported. Is this a mock to "The Vampire Diaries" star?

Of course not, Jamie Dornan further explained that they are already done filming "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed," a local broadsheet Inquirer cited. "Dakota (Johnson) and I were contractually obligated to make three movies, and we shot [parts] two and three back-to-back, so filming is finished," he said.

When asked about working with Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson's new director James Foley for "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed," he said that the film director made it perfectly. It might be complicated for the 62-year-old Foley to continue other's work, knowing that "Fifty Shades Darker" was a big hit, but he "worked it out very well."

It looks like fans have to wait and see the coming "Fifty Shades Darker" on Feb. 17, 2017 for them to judge if director James Foley gives justice to the film. They, too, have to watch for "Fifty Shades Freed" in 2018 if Jamie Dornan will be replaced by Ian Somerhalder.
