The online petition on Care2 was directed to CBS. The petition needed 25, 000 signatures for "Limitless" Season 2 to be shown. It has garnered 21, 615 signatures in September and two months later, producer and writer Craig Sweeney told University Herald that he has solid plans for "Limitless" Season 2. Also, he promised that the fundamentals which made "Limitless" Season 1 exciting for fans will remain intact for its second season.
This statement by Craig Sweeney is yet to be reconciled with the network CBS. According to Gamenguide, the network is bringing "Limitless" back but they are to make a complete overhaul. To which, the fans of "Limitless" stood firm that they want to keep the plot for "Limitless" Season 2.
