GTA 5: Escaping from cops gets a new edge

Rockstar Games’ upcoming open world thriller Grand Theft Auto 5 is incoming fast, alongside information related to the number of details and features surrounding it. The newest among them comes directly from retailer GameStop and talks about how players can evade cops in crisis situations.

Discussing the prospects of escaping cops in GTA 5, GameStop, on its official Facebook page, wrote: “In ‎#GTAV, street gangs are still a problem in Los Santos, while the Lost Motorcycle Club is making moves in Blaine County. Some gangs are more interested in fighting the cops than each other – use that to your advantage when escaping the authorities.”

While we are not looking ahead to comparisons at the moment, it is to be noted that such a feature actually strikes a resemblance with the way the Saints Row franchise works. And owing to the fact that Grand Theft Auto 5 is set to offer an open world experience like never before, it could be understood how the player will be allowed to get away while rival gangs engage cops after the player has set foot on a rival gang's turf.

Grand Theft Auto 5, as according to Rockstar, will feature the company’s biggest open world project to date. The game is said to focus on "the pursuit of the almighty dollar,” and a new feature for the franchise, GTA 5 will have three playable protagonists.

“The biggest, most dynamic and most diverse open world ever created, Grand Theft Auto V blends storytelling and gameplay in new ways as players repeatedly jump in and out of the lives of the game’s three lead characters, playing all sides of the game’s interwoven story,” the official page states.

“All the classic hallmarks of the groundbreaking series return, including incredible attention to detail and Grand Theft Auto’s darkly humorous take on modern culture, alongside a brand new and ambitious approach to open world multiplayer.”

Set in Los Santos, the new GTA will focus on the lives of three very different criminals – Franklin, Michael and Trevor – who will plot their own chances of survival and success in the city.

“Franklin, a street hustler looking for real opportunities and serious money; Michael, a professional ex-con whose retirement is a lot less rosy than he hoped it would be; and Trevor, a violent maniac driven by the chance of a cheap high and the next big score. Running out of options, the crew risks everything in a series of daring and dangerous heists that could set them up for life.”

Grand Theft Auto 5 is currently set for a worldwide release on September 17th.
