The upcoming "Broadchurch" Season 3 will be the final call of the British crime drama series. As fans are now predicting what will happen to their favorite show, Arthur Darvill, who plays the role of Rev. Paul Coates, reveals that the show is about to go back to its roots.
"This series, I think, is just going to be brilliant. I can't tell you too much about it, but the subject matter of it is really heavy," Arthur Darvill told Digital Spy about "Broadchurch" Season 3. The "Doctor Who" star explained that he loved the first season of "Broadchuch" and the second season was vital for the show's story.
However, he assured that "Broadchurch" Season 3 has the touch and feel of its first installment. Arthur Darvill also revealed that he will be seen "in and out" of the show and will "pop up every now and then" as he was part of its summer production.
Moreover, Detective Sergeant Ellie Miller (Olivia Colman) and Detective Inspector Alec Hardy (David Tennant) are about to investigate a sexual assault case in "Broadchurch" Season 3, OK! Magazine reported. The upcoming final chapter will feature the attacks' effect on the community and to its people under the investigation of the two detectives.
Meanwhile, "Broadchurch" Season 3 cast were seen in what-seemed-to-be a candle lit vigil scene and a lot of famous faces were evidently there. Julie Hesmondhalgh, Lenny Henry and Sunetra Sarker are all set to be part of the show's swan song.
"This is the final chapter of 'Broadchurch.' We have one last story to tell, featuring both familiar faces and new characters," the show's creator Chris Chibnall said.
