‘Nashville’ Season 5 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: EP Reveals Show’s Changes On CMT; New Teaser Revealed! Find Out Here

"Nashville" Season 5 will be revealed on its new network, CMT, and fans can expect to see a few changes from the show. In fact, in an interview with the program's creator and executive producer Callie Khouri, he said that everyone is happy with the move.

Callie Khouri revealed that it is their intention to revive the show fans once known and love with the coming "Nashville" Season 5 on its new network, CMT. However, they will try their best to avoid to do a minor thing and that is the "that would never happen stuff."

"It is a lot more grounded in character. We're telling stories about characters that we love," Callie Khouri told The Tennessean. The film and television screenwriter also added that "Nashville" Season 5 will be more emotional and less like a soap opera, but will still carry dramatic stories.

Callie Khouri also teased that they have been with ABC's "Scandal" and "Revenge" and that how the show's stories really worked. But, "Nashville" Season 5 will be far more loved with the said kind of storytelling. "It was fun. It's always a challenge coming up with that kind of stuff and making it feel real," she continued.

Meanwhile, a new 30-seconder trailer of "Nashville" Season 5 was revealed by CMT. The promo confirmed that Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) was actually included in the plane crash from the last season.

Also, Avery (Jonathan Jackson) has learned what happened to Juliette's plane while Rayna (Connie Britton) would find out about the crash while watching TV, Entertainment Focus cited. Scarlett (Clare Bowen and Gunnar (Sam Palladio), too, will face hardships again as they reconcile their love, while Will (Chris Carmack) find a new romance.

Lastly, Maddie (Lennon Stella) has to deal with her behavior that led her to break away from her family. "Nashville" Season 5 will return on Jan. 5 on CMT.
