Sony Latest News & Update: Walkman, Headphone, Portable Speaker 'Final Fantasy XV' Limited Edition Are Out!

Sony matched the anticipated game "Final Fantasy XV" with its launch of the Sony Walkman, headphones and speakers. The devices are on limited edition targeting Sony and "Final Fantasy XV" fans.

"Final Fantasy XV" is the most anticipated game of the year and it has finally arrived after over a decade. Sony matches this hype by releasing its "Final Fantasy XV" limited edition of Sony Walkman, headphones and speakers.

Sony has released the Walkman A-Series "Final Fantasy XV" edition priced at 33,880 yen in Japan or approximately $300 converted in U.S. currency. Sony Walkman supports Hi-Res audio with the etched pixel of Noctis and the gang on the back with new special icons. According to The Verge, the special icons can only be found in Sony Walkman "Final Fantasy XV" edition.

Aside from Sony Walkman, Sony paired it with "Final Fantasy XV" edition of h.ear on MDR-100A headphones. There is an XV logo on both sides of the headphones and priced at 24,380 yen in Japan or $220 converted in U.S. currency. Previously, the same Sony headphone model was used for the Hatsune Miku special edition.

The "Final Fantasy XV" edition MDR-100A Sony headphone is lightweight and very comfortable to wear. Sony tagged it as "premium Hi-Res" headphone which means it is perfectly fit for a Hi-Res audio device like the Sony Walkman. The headphone can be easily folded up and keep to protective carrying pouch. However, the finish surface of the headphone can be easily scratched if not well-handled, CNet reported.

Furthermore, Sony also released a "Final Fantasy XV" edition of h.ear go SRS-HG1 Bluetooth speaker priced at 29,380 yen in Japan or $260. The speaker type has a full range with ClearAudio+, DSEE-HX sound mode. It features Bluetooth 4.2 version and Wi-Fi with an approximate range of 30 meters. It also has a MicroUSB port and Stereo mini-jack input.

Meanwhile, Sony Walkman, headphone and speaker "Final Fantasy XV" limited edition are only sold in Japan. It is not expected that it will be released in the United States market. However, "Final Fantasy XV" fans can still purchase this through online, but there will be shipment cost to be added.
