The year 2017 will give moviegoers with more than enough hero movies, having eight of them hitting the cinemas. One of them much-awaited movies is about the strongest female superhero who is popular in the DC comics, Wonder Woman.
When Wonder Woman appeared in the movie "Batman Vs. Superman", fans were very much disappointed because the movie there wasn't enough screen time for her. So, when the first trailer of "Wonder Woman" movie was released, it created much hype to fans, obviously making it one of the most awaited movies in 2017.
Gal Gadot, known for her role as Gisele in the "Fast and Furious" movies is cast for the role of Diana Prince, or Wonder Woman. The Israeli actress made her big debut in the big screen with "Batman vs. Superman" movie, but the movie "Wonder Woman" is her first solo feature film.
Co-starring Gal Gadot in the "Wonder Woman" is Chris Pine as Captain Steve Trevor, Robin Wright as General Antiope, Lucy Davis as Etta Candy. Additional co-stars whose roles are not yet revealed are Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Ewen Bremner, Said Taghmaoui, Elena Anaya.
"Wonder Woman" is pegged as the movie that sets the stage for female-superhero movies, and according to Cinemablend, Gal Gadot "made it clear months ago that her intention with "Wonder Woman" and its titular heroine is to create a movie in which she is not "heartbroken" or in need of rescue by a male counterpart."
The movie is directed by Patty Jenkins, and produced by Charles Roven, Zack Snyder and Deborah Snyder, with Richard Suckle, Stephen Jones, Wesley Coller, Geoff Johns, and Rebecca Roven.
