Apple AirPod Release Date & Latest Update: Release Long Due?
In a previous post on Gamenguide, a German website affiliated with Apple has hinted that the AirPods might hit the market on November 18 and 19. But as many suspected, the launch did not go through and news about the coveted earpiece since have died down. Many prospective buyers were plainly disappointed by the Company's failure to feature them on the said dates.
It's not known if Apple is consciously trying to build up the hype for the AirPods, but the interest for the wireless headset has certainly died down. Competing mobile manufacturers have in fact taken advantage of Apple's current blunders.
A Chinese consumer agency has even raised a complaint regarding defective units of the iPhone 6. Apple is also widely criticized for having customers pay for repairs regarding a recurring manufacturing defect called the "touch disease" in the iPhone 6 Plus. Will Apple try to downplay the recent events by finally releasing the AirPods?
Apple CEO: AirPods Release Could Be Finalized A Few Weeks From Now
According to MacRumors, Apple CEO Tim Cook has inadvertently announced that the long awaited earpiece might be available a few weeks from now. The CEO replied a customer query on when the AirPods would be finally launched. Cook did sound sincere and apologetic in the alleged email and said his apologies for the delay and told the customer that it will begin shipping as soon as possible.
As most rumors, this revelation should be taken with a grain of salt, the email could have been faked. We've been constantly disappointed with false rumors time after time and if Apple would really ship the AirPods weeks from now, at least it is not too late for the Holidays.
