The “Sister Wives” Season 8 premiere last Sunday featured Maddie Brown planning her wedding with Caleb Brush. Although it has been already announced that she is already pregnant before the airing of the episode, fans of the show no doubt would want to know the details of the upcoming wedding.
All the wives of "Sister Wives" Season 8 are excited about Maddie’s wedding because according to them, it has been a long time since they all last attended a monogamous wedding like what Maddie is having. Amid the happy and excitement the Browns are experiencing with the wedding planning, Mykelti Brown dropped a bomb.
Christine Brown’s daughter announced in the first episode of “Sister Wives” Season 8 that she got engaged to a guy she barely knows. Christine got very affected with this development since she has met Mykelti’s boyfriend, Tony Padron, for a few times only and she knew the two have only been in a relationship for only five months. Christine asked the Brown patriarch Kody for help.
KODY and Tony had a talk but Christine felt blindsided in the “Sister Wives” Season 8 episode when she learned that Kody approved the engagement, which was definitely what she was hoping for. But, Kody has some conditions.
Among the conditions that Kody set for the couple in the “Sister Wives” Season 8 episode include Tony not closing his mind on plural marriages and waiting a while longer before engaging in any sexual activity. He reminded the young man that they may not be able to marry in the temple because of the Brown family’s polygamous lifestyle. Kody also said that their family cannot handle two weddings two months apart which Tony seemed to have a problem with.
It seems that many “Sister Wives” Season 8 fans were taken aback when Tony later stated rather flippantly that Kody could take out a loan on the Brown’s family home so he could pay for their wedding. Mykelti herself seemed to have misunderstood her dad when he said two weddings will take a toll on him, he meant financially and not physically like she thought.
Kody and Meri were able to discuss the growing estrangement in their relationship and also Meri’s relationship with their daughter. Kody suggested that the two of them get help from their family therapist. “Sister Wives” Season 8 airs every Sunday on TLC.
