‘Destiny 2’ Release Date, News & Update: Bungie Confirms New Game Details To Be Revealed At PlayStation Experience 2016?

"Destiny 2," being the sequel to Bungie's popular first-person shooter, is expected to feature new content and even new missions that should make it more interesting than the original release. The specifics have yet to be revealed but if latest rumors prove to be true, fans might just know what Bungie has in store for them.

"Destiny 2" has already been confirmed to be a 2017 release but Bungie has been reserved when it comes to providing more details about the sequel. However, with the latest entry found on the official Bungie blog post, the developer might just announce more about the game at the PlayStation Experience 2016. Towards the closing of the post, Bungie mentioned that the team will be heading to Anaheim, California.

Although the company never confirmed its presence at the event, its blog post served as a hint of its attendance. Coincidentally, PlayStation Experience 2016 will be held in Anaheim on Dec. 3 and 4. "The week after, we'll be packing our bags for Anaheim, CA. The particulars of our mission are still a mystery. We'll cross that finish line soon," Bungie's DeeJ wrote on Nov. 17. That said, this doesn't prove that Bungie will indeed announce something big about "Destiny 2."

Fans can only hope that they will know more information about "Destiny 2" soon. PlayStation Experience 2016 is happening tomorrow and gamers can only wait for more updates. In the meantime, there are now reports that "Destiny" will continue to receive DLCs before the sequel arrives.

According to the Gamers Drop, fans of "Destiny" can feast on more expansions of the game in 2017. It is said to be a reasonable move by Bungie since DLCs would serve to bridge the gap between the original game and "Destiny 2." This may be great news to fans but this remains as speculation and should still be taken with a pinch of salt as Bungie has kept its 2017 plans under wraps.
