"Power Ranger" fans got hyped up after the release of the official photos of Elizabeth Banks' Rita Repulsa who is the main villain for the upcoming "Power Rangers" movie that will be released March 24, 2017. However, followers of the 90's TV series are wondering if Rita's ally and husband, Lord Zedd would make an appearance in the film and work together against the five rangers.
The Wrap reports that Lord Zedd will be featured in the "Power Rangers" movie as he becomes one of the causes why Rita Repulsa will be visiting Earth for a quest to look for the Zeo Crystal. The Zeo Crystal is very power object that produces massive energy which is protected by the wise galactic sage, Zordon.
In the forthcoming "Power Rangers" movie, Lord Zedd will appear in "one form or another" where once tried to obtain the Zeo Crystal himself and use it to conquer worlds but he has to go up against the five rangers. The Crystal allows the "Power Rangers' to transform into their Morphin Grid when they need to fight against Rita Repulsa and her army. Aside from Lord Zedd, Zordon's origin story will be featured in the "Power Ranger" movie which is said to be the first and original Red Ranger in Earth's prehistoric era.
The "Power Rangers" movie will star Bryan Cranston as Zordon, Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa, Naomi Scott as Kimberly the Pink Ranger, David Denman as Sam Scott, Becky G. as Trini the Yellow Ranger. Latest "Stranger Things" cast member Darce Montgomery will play Jason Lee Scott the Red Ranger, Ludi Lin as Zack Taylor the Black Ranger, Emily Maddison as Rebecca and RJ Cyler as Billy Cranston the Blue Ranger.
