Middlesbrough vs. Liverpool Preview

Liverpool is coming off a 2-2 draw against West Ham United last Sunday with goalkeeper Loris Karius being criticized. It was their second consecutive game where they did not register a win as they lost 4-3 to Bournemouth on December 4.

Klopp admitted to the media that his team might not keep up with Chelsea at the top of the table. The injury to Philippe Coutinho is a big blow to Liverpool. However, the Brazilian superstar is expected to be back at the start of January.

"It's difficult to stay in the race with Chelsea when they won everything and we didn't. I don't think about it. When we were first or second, I wasn't thinking about it. The season is very long, and as everybody knows the most intense time is coming now," Klopp said, via The Mirror.

Middlesbrough, on the other hand, wants to continue their climb up the EPL table. They are in good form since the 2-2 draw against Leicester City. The Boro followed it up with a 1-0 win against Hull City before losing to Southampton in their last game

Possible Formation and Starting XI

Middlesbrough (4-2-3-1): Victor Valdes; Antonio Barragan, Ben Gibson, Calum Chambers, Fabio; Adam Clayton, Adam Forshaw; Adama Traore, Gaston Ramirez, Viktor Fischer; Alvaro Negredo
