'Outlander' Season 3 Based On Diana Gabaldon's 'Voyager'

It has been known that "Outlander" Season 3 will be based on Diana Gabaldon's third book of the novel series titled "Voyager." It will feature Claire (Caitriona Balfe) back in the 18th Century Scotland with her daughter Brianna (Sophie Skelton) together with the historian Roger Wakefield (Richard Rankin), according to TVGuide.

'Outlander' Season 3 Featuring Battle of Culloden

The upcoming "Outlander" Season 3 is going to feature the epic Battle of Culloden. In fact, photos of Jamie (Sam Heughan) on battle have surfaced. It also showed the 36-year-old actor's in his armor clothing full of blood and looking dirty.

Fergus, Marsali Now Grown Ups in 'Outlander' Season 3

Time will definitely fly in "Outlander" Season 3 after Claire, Brianna and Roger go to the 18th Century Scotland. This is because Fergus is now a grown up that will be portrayed by Cesar Domboy. Laoghaire's (Nell Hudson) daughter, Marsali, is now all grown played by Lauren Lyle.

New Stars Coming In 'Outlander' Season 3

New chapter means new faces. "Outlander" Season 3 will be graced by new characters as John Bell will be seen as Jamie's nephew named Ian. He is the tall, Scottish baddie but with a golden heart.

Wil Johnson will also be seen in "Outlander" Season 3 as Joe Abernathy. He will play the role of Claire's medical partner when she received her surgical license in Boston in the 20th century, Times-News added.

The life of Claire with Frank some 20 years ago, while she thought that Jamie was dead, will also be revealed in "Outlander" Season 3. In fact, Frank will be mostly seen in the first few episodes of the show. "Outlander" Season 3 is expected to return in 2017 on Starz.
