‘Nioh’ Release Date, News & Update: See ‘Nioh’ In Glorious 4K Plus Nine Minutes Of Gameplay From ‘Greatest Games Lineup In History’

Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo boasted off a brand spanking new trailer for the upcoming game "Nioh" during the publisher's "Greatest Games Lineup in History" livestream. The trailer showcased a 4K compatible version of the game, which shows protagonist William meeting shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu.

"Nioh" At 4K

Apart from the astounding trailer, the publishers also demonstrated nine minutes of "Nioh" gameplay footage, which you can see below. It starts around 3:10:00.

PlayStation Lifestyle reports that "Nioh" will be available in 4K TVs and 1080 TVs. For 4K, its Movie Mode is at a stable 3840x2160 resolution at 30fps. Its action mode is available at a 1920x1080 reso at 60fps.

"Nioh's" 1080p TV option for Movie Mode is at a 1920x1080 reso with high quality anti-aliasing at 30fps. Its Action mode: 1920x1080 at 60fps.

"Nioh" is exclusive for the PlayStation 4 but will have support for the PS4 Pro. If you want to continue playing at a standard PS4 however, you'll still have the option to play the game in 30fps, 30+fps or 60fps.

"Nioh" Gameplay & Release Date

Previously, GamenGuide reports of "Nioh's" new video showing a battle with the big boss Ogress. Following the confirmation of the game's support for the PS4 Pro, players will be up for a larger-than-life experience, with its graphics immensely improved. The game's highlight is still the last three-minute battles with the boss, and should serve an engrossing gameplay, having gone through multiple revisions before it finally released for beta this year.

 "Nioh" is scheduled for release on the PS4 on February 7, 2017 in North America. Europe gets to have it on February 8, and February 9 in Japan. Additionally, those who were part of the game's alpha test are eligible for the Onryoma helmet, and beta testers are to receive Hinoenmas. In the meantime, enjoy "Nioh" at 4K below.
