AirPods Latest, News & Update: Wireless Headsets Now Available In Selected Apple Stores; Purchase Your Pre-Orders Now
Since Apple announced the iPhone 7, the much awaited Apple AirPods left consumers hanging after there no official updates of the said device. But the long wait is over! Apple's AirPods are now available in select Apple Stores as well as pre-orders online from official Apple website.
The pre-orders of the Apple Airpods were available last week and were immediately declared as sold out according to Apple Insider. However, consumers who want to buy the wireless headset can still place their orders but will have to wait for an estimate of six weeks for its shipping.
The Apple Insider also tried to check the inventory of some of Apple's physical stores and were not disappointed on their quest. Out of the ten stores they have surveyed, eight are expecting to have only 10 available units in their stock for Apple's Airpods while some were expecting to only have 20.
Meanwhile, three of the other Apple stores that Apple Insider has spoken with said that they are not expecting any stock for sale in January. Best Buy and Target are also not expecting any Apple Airpods anytime soon in their establishments.
The Apple AirPods is a new way for Apple users to listen to music without the tangly wire which renders the 3.5 mm headphone jack obsolete. The AirPods are Bluetooth generated which can be used in other Apple devices like iPhone, iPad and more.
"Thank you for your note. Sorry for the delay---we are finalizing them and I anticipate we will begin to ship over the next few weeks," said Tim Cook himself, who wrote the reply to a frustrated consumer on when Apple's AirPods are going to be released. The consumer addresses Cook through an email that he is having second thoughts in buying the wireless headset, and MacRumors were able to verify the email.
