'Halo Wars 2' Is Decent On Xbox One, But Dramatically Improved On PC
"Halo Wars 2" review restriction has been finally lifted. The game seems to elicit a positive response from gamers with fairly solid ratings. Gamers' review suggests that the game performs decently on Xbox One but demonstrates dramatic improvements on PC.
The "Halo Wars 2" review embargo finally broke today. Although the numbers are not spectacular, gamers give a fairly solid mark which plays around an 8/10s average. According to Forbes, the game is a good console RTS.
But behind the fairly good review marks, many gamers claim that they are experiencing few struggles with playing "Halo Wars 2" on Xbox One. Gamers acknowledge that for a console RTS, the game's controls are good. But gamers can't help but notice that the game controls do fall short of the spontaneity feels.
For starters, RTS games require cursors. Despite the efforts to ensure simplified controls, navigating the game with a joystick just feels so wrong. The game developers have incorporated various tools to make the game playable. But many gamers still feel that the game is not very much enjoyable.
Luckily, Microsoft has introduced "Xbox Play Anywhere." Players who own Xbox One games can also acquire a PC version of the game for free which makes use of a shared account data. Gamers agreed that "Halo Wars 2" is one of the games destined for "Xbox Play Anywhere."
The Windows Club lists recommended PC specs for "Halo Wars 2" on "Xbox Play Anywhere." Since the game is an RTS, gamers do not need supercomputers to play the game. Microsoft recommended a Windows 10 PC with at least 4GB of VRAM, and 8GB of RAM. A 25GB of hard drive space is also encouraged. In addition, gamers needed to secure a Windows 10, 64bit OS along with an Intel Core i5-4690K processor, or the AMD FX-8350.
The game is available via the Xbox store at a $59.99 price tag. How is your "Halo Wars 2" experience? Let us know below.
