Underwater Glitch Discovered In 'The Legend of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild'

A few weeks after its release, "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" players already discovered innovative ways to progress through the game. Just recently, reports claim that a player has discovered a workaround to allow Link to dive underwater. It seems that the process involves a glitch that allows gamers to submerge the protagonist below the surface of most bodies of water in the RPG.

A Twitter user named Swiffy22, posted a video clip "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" during a battle with a Stone Talus. The process apparently causes the game to glitch and keeps link underwater for some reason. Game Rant notes that it seems that the force of an enemy's attack can cause Link to submerge instead of float. The posted clip surprisingly shows that the enemy attacks the player and the resulting hit-stun knocks below the surface.

It appears player can bait certain enemies to attack them while they are close to bodies of water to activate the underwater glitch. "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" players who do not want to look for enemies can also activate the bug a different way. Gamers can have Link use a square bomb near the edge of the water to get the same effect as the other method.

After the glitch causes players to go underwater, Link can apparently walk around the bottom for some exploration. "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is obviously not programmed to allow players to explore below the surface, which does not really offer any secrets for players to discover while submerged. Players who have completed the RPG and are at 100 percent can just use to bug to explore more areas in the game.

Gamers suspect that there are more hidden secrets in "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild". Other than the recent underwater glitch, players have also claimed that a hidden Satoru Iwata tribute has been included in the game, as reported by Gamenguide. Players would just need to keep playing the game to hopefully uncover more secrets.
