If they are lucky enough, they will also encounter the Shiny versions of the above mentioned Pokemon, including a debuting Shiny Hoothoot, which will be appearing without a costume even after the event ends, as well as Fearow.

Those who caught 2020 Glasses Slowpoke will have the chance to Evolve it into either 2021 Glasses Slowbro or 2022 Glasses Slowking, which will also make a debut.

In terms of Raids, they will be facing 2020 Glasses Slowpoke, New Year's Hat Hoothoot, Party Hat Wobbuffet, and Mawile during the 1-Star Raids, while they will encounter Party Hat Raticate, Party Hat Nidorino, Party Hat Gengar, 2022 Glasses Slowking, and Machamp during the 3-Star Raids.

If they are lucky enough, they will encounter their Shiny counterparts, except 2022 Glasses Slowking and Machamp.

Trainers will also encounter Kyurem, and its Shiny version if they are lucky enough, in the 5-Star Raids. The said raid is one of the new Raids in Pokemon Go that Niantic will launch for the month of January.
