Diablo IV Players Can Level Up Faster Thanks to a Returning Event

Players who are trying to reach the max level of Diablo IV as fast as possible can take advantage of the XP bonus that will be available soon. Blizzard has recently announced that the Mother's Blessing event begins later today.

Fast XP Gain

For those who haven't played the first season of Diablo IV, Mother's Blessing is a limited-time event where players can get increased amounts of XP. When it debuted back in August, the said event only gave players a 25% boost. However, it is more lucrative this time around because players can expect a noticeable 35% increase in both Gold and XP again, a 10% raise from the previous iteration.

Additionally, the 35% boost actually stacks with other XP-boosting items, such as the Urn of Experience and Elixirs. Definitely get a handful of those once the event goes live.

The Mother's Blessing event starts on November 20 until November 27 at 10 AM PST.

Recent Bugs

While the increased XP gain can entice players to level up their characters, it seems that Blizzard has to iron out some issues that were recently brought up by the community.

According to Redditor @Its_Syxx, poison damage inflicted by monsters in Nightmare Dungeons is quite absurd right now. Even with pretty good stats, such as 32% DoT (Damage Over Time) reduction on armor, maximum resistances, and 20% damage reduction from elite monsters, they still got destroyed pretty quickly.

One user replied that poison damage is indeed bugged 100%. Apparently, this is caused by a particular affix typically found in Nightmare Dungeons, where enemies can deal 30% more damage as a random damage type over five seconds. Although this bug needs fixing immediately, another Redditor said that it took Blizzard two seasons just to get resistances working, which means that this issue might not get resolved soon.

Another issue that is plaguing Diablo IV at the moment has something to do with players not being able to log into the game. Hopefully, Blizzard will be able to rectify this before the Mother's Blessing event starts later today.

What's in Store for the Future

During BlizzCon 2023, the Diablo IV team composed of General Manager Rod Ferguson and Production Directors Tiffany Wat and Chris Wilson, revealed the game's very first expansion, which is called Vessel of Hatred.

Players have to venture into a new region called Nahantu, where they will uncover Mephisto's evil plans for the Sanctuary. Those who have played Diablo II will be familiar with the foe, but for those who are still new to the franchise, Mephisto is the brother of Diablo. He is also referred to as the "Lord of Hatred."

Along with the introduction of the Lord of Hatred to the game, players can expect a new class never before seen in the Diablo franchise. Sadly, those who were expecting more familiar classes like the Witch Doctor or Paladin will be disappointed. Still, if it is an entirely new class, players might have a blast trying it when the expansion arrives next year.

Diablo IV is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
