Blizzard is Set to Implement Matchmaking Improvements to Diablo Immortal Soon
A new update for Diablo Immortal is slated for release tomorrow, November 22. Aside from the Season 20 Battle Pass, the upcoming patch will implement some much-needed improvements to the game's matchmaking system, particularly in the Battlegrounds.

Battleground Matchmaking Improvements

Blizzard is going to implement a few noteworthy changes to Battlegrounds in the game's next update. Before anything, Battlegrounds is the pinnacle PvP activity in Diablo Immortal where two teams try to complete objectives and rack as many kills as possible to win.

That being said, one of the major adjustments to Battlegrounds has something to do with Resonance. Once the update goes live, the importance of Resonance in matchmaking will be less impactful once players achieve the "Legendary" rank.

The game might still put them with players of higher Resonance, but the matchmaking system is less likely to do that. It's worth pointing out, however, that Resonance will ultimately be ignored by the matchmaking system once players achieve a respectable power level.

Resonance, for those who don't know, refers to a value that increases the player's equipment base attributes by a certain percentage. This can be influenced by Legendary Gems that players can slot into their gear. The higher the Resonance a player has, the more powerful they are against their competition.

The change mentioned above is Blizzard's way of solving the issue where some players were being matched up against overpowered combatants. It is interesting to see if this will have any perceivable impact on matchmaking moving forward.

Speaking of matchmaking, the company has merged multiple servers to help reduce matchmaking queues.

Once players have been added to the Battlegrounds, their armor and armor penetration values have a bearing over which teams they are going to be assigned to.

To spice things up, Blizzard will implement a change that allows players to receive more than three rewards per day for their efforts. It seems that the company is doing this to entice players to try Diablo Immortal's PvP.

Grisly Equipment

The Season 20 Battle Pass, dubbed "Unholy Passengers" by the company, is set to be released on November 23 at 3 a.m. server time. The Battle Pass lets players acquire a unique set of armor that is highlighted by a seemingly poor soul trying to burst out of their chest. Familiar Events

Several popular events are coming back to Diablo Immortal soon. Players can enter the Fractured Plane when it arrives on November 24. This is a limited-time event where players tackle a 15-floor gauntlet filled with Hell's dangerous minions. The Fractured Plane event concludes on December 1 at 3 a.m. server time.

Those who are looking for a random legendary item will be happy to know that Yakin's Shady Stock is returning from November 25 to December 2.

Players can also complete the "Into the Dark Wood" event from December 2 to December 9. Finish special daily tasks for a chance to obtain a random Legendary Item, as well as a Legendary Crest.

Aside from that, Trial of the Hordes is set to return on December 8. Those who have what it takes to duke it out with another player can try this limited-time PvP event until December 15.

So, what can you say about the upcoming adjustments to Battlegrounds? Also, are you going to participate in any of the returning events?
