"Designated Survivor" has been airing on the ABC network since September 21 with a star studded casts. On November 9, with Keifer Sutherland at the center of the show and his buddies at the White House, they return on the air channels.

Keifer Sutherland plays Tom Kirkman who is the U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development in "Designated Survivor". His life as a lowly cabinet man has changed forever when he was catapulted to the highest seat of power in America.

According to Yahoo, Kirkman became President he never expected. The story arc of "Designated Survivor" kicks off after the catastrophic bombing of the Capitol building that annihilated almost everybody in government. Kirkman survived the bombing and that's when he got his name the "designated survivor".

With his new position as "Designated Survivor" Kirkman has to take immediate action to fill the vacuum in government. His colleagues who know his capabilities pose as his great challenge. It was a difficult tasks and he has to play politics in the process.

"Designated Survivor" is one TV show that has been forecasted to be one of the top shows in the 2016 and 2017 seasons as reported by TV. One assurance is the presence of the highly respected veteran actor Sutherland who is leading the cast. While many shows took too long to be ordered, this series jumpstart as it was picked immediately for 22 episodes.

"Designated Survivor" is created by David Guggenheim for the ABC network. Other stars of the show include: Natascha McElhone who plays the first lady Alex Kirkman, Adan Canto as Aaron Shore, Italia Ricci as Emily Rhodes and many more.
