CONSOLES

Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition Out Now [VIDEO]

Trailer For the Ultimate Edition of Injustice: Gods Among Us Shows You Everything the Game Has to Offer

If you've kept yourself away from Injustice: Gods Among Us for whatever reason, now's the time to reconsider. The Ultimate Edition for the game is now available in the U.S. for PC, PlayStation 3, and the Xbox 360. It won't be long before the game hits Europe (November 29). It will also be available as a launch title for the PlayStation 4 when the console releases later this week.

Check out the trailer below to see what you've been missing, and everything the Ultimate Edition has to offer.

In addition to the current and next-gen platform, Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition will also be hitting Sony's handheld PlayStation Vita at the same time the game arrives in Europe. The Vita port is being handled by Armature Studios, who handled the Metal Gear Solid HD collection on Vita. You also might've heard the name more recently, as the company was also behind Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate.

However, anyone looking for the game on Mcrosoft's upcoming Xbox One could be disappointed. When asked about the game's arrival on Microsoft's next-gen Xbox One via Twitter, NetherRealms studio head Ed Boon responded, "Um.... I wouldn't sell that 360 copy..." It's possible Boon is just having a bit of fun, but he still hasn't clarified if the Xbox One is indeed getting its own version, but it certainly doesn't look good. The same seems to go for the Wii U as well.

As expected and mentioned in the trailer, the Ultimate Edition offers all of the game's DLC that's released so far like skins and characters like: BatgirlLobo,ZatannaMartian ManhunterGeneral Zod, and Mortal Kombat's own Scorpion, not to mention all those extra S.T.A.R. Lab missions. If you've already grabbed all the DLC, the only incentive for grabbing the Ultimate Edition would be a bonus soundtrack, which features an exclusive track from Jane's Addiction.

As they've never had access to the game before, Vita owners probably get the best deal. They'll get extra S.T.A.R. Labs Missions at no additional cost. It also gets touch controls for story mode, and traditional multiplayer over wi-fi.

"When developing Injustice on Vita, our primary goal was to make sure it could hold its own next to its console counterpart," says the announcement on the EU PlayStation blog. It goes on to say that the studio "pulled out all the stops to push the PS Vita as hard as we could" to make this version of the game faithful to the original.

Valued at over $120, gamers can grab the Ultimate Edition for $60 for the console versions, $50 for the PC, and $40 for the Vita version. In addition, the PS4 version will feature touchpad functionality, video sharing, and live streaming through the console itself.
