'Pokemon' Game for Nintendo Switch Hinted By Recruitment Ad

Nintendo fans have reportedly noticed that Game Freak has posted two recruitment ads for an unannounced project for a console. The job listing states that successful applicants will have a chance to work on a "globally popular RPG" which is a title that "just about anyone knows." Several sources have already begun to speculate that the developer might have just hinted at a new "Pokemon" game for the popular Nintendo Switch.

According to the developer's listing, the developer is supposedly looking for 3D CG designers for a job that requires them to make "cartoon-like super deformed characters, models, and item models," which most sources suspect might be a new "Pokemon" game for the Nintendo Switch. Additionally, they will also handle debugging and work on some game data, as reported by Kotaku. It was also implied that the project is destined for consoles and animation experience with the Maya 3D modeling software is needed, according to the ad.

Meanwhile, the ad also details that the contract for the job is scheduled to end by May next year. Fans should note that Game Freak does not exclusively develop "Pokemon" games only, so the project might also be for another game entirely. On the other hand, several Japanese gaming sites have reportedly speculated that the project might be Nintendo Switch versions of "Pokemon Sun and Moon".

Game Rant reports that a related job listing also indicated that they are interested in hiring applicants that have worked on the Nintendo Wii U and PlayStation Vita. It is worth noting that these two gaming systems are carrying touchscreens just like the Nintendo Switch. It seems that the speculated "Pokemon" game might have more touch-based features based on the ad details.

Several months ago, rumors have indicated that the developer has plans to release a game called "Pokemon Stars" for the Nintendo Switch. The game was never confirmed by Game Freak or Nintendo, but fans continue to speculate that a "Pokemon" game on the Switch is on its way. It appears that the recruitment ad might have just supported the speculations.
