Taylor Swift Latest News & Update: 'Blank Space' Singer Wrote Little Big Town's 'Better Man'; Song For Calvin Harris?

Taylor Swift confirmed as the song writer for The Little Big Town's latest single "Better Man". The "Bad Blood" singer sent the stripped-down ballad to the band, which made headlines after they revealed it was Taylor Swift who wrote the song.

Little Big Town's Karen Fairchild said that the song was really special to Swift. According to Billboard, Taylor Swift thought of the band because of the harmonies and that she has never pitched a song to anyone before. "The minute we heard it, we were like 'Man, that is a song that we're going to cut.'", Fairchild added.

The country-quartet band was invited by Taylor Swift for her 1989 tour. Little Big Town shared the stage with the "Shake it off" singer during in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania stop of Swifts tour and sang "Pontoon".

Little Big Town released the song on October 20, which was plenty of time for Taylor Swift to write "Better Man" after her split in May with Calvin Harris. However, nobody has confirmed whether the song is for Calvin Harris or her recent ex, Tom Hiddleston.

Karen Fairchild reminded fans that lyrics from Taylor Swift can have many interpretations. In a report by E! News, Fairchild said that everybody has a better man. "It might have been lover or a parent that disappointed you. I think the beauty of that storytelling is that we can all relates to being disappointed in someone and still loving them" Fairchild explained.

During the 2016 CMA Awards on Wednesday night, Little Big Town performed their latest single "Better Man". The stage was transformed into a pastoral paradise to sing the country-ballad song. The night was also the return of Taylor Swift to the CMA Awards as she presented the Entertainer of the Year Award.
