'Overwatch' Latest Gameplay, News & Update: Sombra Officially Revealed; Arcade Section Offers New Game Modes

Players have anticipated "Overwatch" new character, Sombra, for a long time. Images leaked online have added their curiosity. After the long wait, Blizzard has officially released Sombra's character and abilities at 2016 Blizzcon. It also released the New Arcade section in "Overwatch" that offers new game modes. According to Polygon, Blizzard officially revealed "Overwatch" newest character, Sombra, through a video at the opening ceremony of the 2016 Blizzcon. Sombra looks like a cyberpunk with a short-range machine pistol with a large magazine. The video also shows her origin story as an orphaned victim of the Omnic crisis. She is a stealthy and offensive character who is hacking things, teleporting and going invisible.

"Overwatch" new hero Sombra possesses a Hack ability that prevents other players from using their abilities and Health packs that make it unusable for the enemies. She cannot damage or take control Torbjorn's turrets but Sombra can cut them down for a short time. This makes it easier for the new character to destroy the turret. She can see enemies who have 50 percent health through walls. She can hide from the enemies through her Thermoptic Camo that allows here to be invisible and increase movement speed. She can also use Translocator that tosses out a beacon where Sombra can teleport to.

Blizzard also released new maps for "Overwatch" including Oasis, and the new Arcade section of the game that comes with new modes, rules, and exclusive maps. Echo Point Antarctica belongs in these exclusive maps. It is only designed for the upcoming game modes Arcade's 1v1 and 3x3 Arena.

According to GameSpot, new Arcade section is coming to "Overwatch." It is another area of play menu that offers a wide variety of game modes. This upcoming Arcade section includes 1v1 Mystery Duel, 3v3 Elimination, 6v6 Mystery Heroes, 6v6 No Limits and All Brawls. 1v1 Mystery duel randomly chooses a character that will be played by both participants. The 3v3 Elimination is a best-of-five mode without respawns where the player can choose a character each round. The 6v6 Mystery Heroes is the mode where all players will play the character assigned to them. The 6v6 No Limits is the mode that allows a limit of one hero and allows players to stack teams with more than one of the same character. The All Brawls is the mode that allows a rotation of different types of Brawl games.

Players who win three matches in the new Arcade will receive new Loot Box Rewards. This can be given thrice in a given week. All of this will happen upon the release of "Overwatch" new Arcade section next week.
