As "Iron Man 4" may be one idea that many have come to crave, Marvel fans may be rendered disappointed that the one they got to love for the part could no longer be reprising it. Moreover, the story could also be headed to an apparent change if the case continues.

Many can recall that "Iron Man 4" was mentioned by Tony Stark's actor himself, Robert Downey Jr. a number of months back. This apparently hoisted a rumor mill upwards and with it, the speculations simply keep adding up-pointing to the wonder if Robert Downey Jr. will still be the one to portray it.

According to previous reports, the continuous queries around "Iron Man 4" seem to escalate as time goes by, some insisting that Robert Downey Jr. will no longer be physically able to do so. The 51-year-old actor went on to make many Marvel movies since his spawning as "Iron Man" almost a decade back, and with such a highly appraisable set of accolades, the future of the character has definitely come into question.

Some rumors talk of "Iron Man 4" as no longer being part of the story, but will instead be a reboot. This is justified by the fact that most of the Marvel standalone films of today were given multiple re-introductions (Spider-Man and Hulk have three different versions) and even Kevin Fiege did not stop the idea. Interestingly, Fiege said that the entire team of Marvel has plans set for the future-not just for Tony Stark but for the other heroes as well.

This also leads to the rumors saying that the franchise has a tendency to finally go for Riri Williams or Ironheart for "Iron Man 4." For those unaware, Williams is an African-American female who Tony approved to take his place and wear the suit. It was also confirmed that Robert Downey Jr. is set to work on "Sherlock Holmes 3," which many know as another prominent character performed by the actor.

Will Marvel finally close the curtains on Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man? Is the next Marvel Film about to introduce Riri Williams to the mix? Keep posted for more news on "Iron Man 4" here at GamenGuide.
