There are rumors that "Dark Souls" will be arriving on Nintendo Switch soon. All three titles from the "Dark Souls" series will reportedly be adapted for the portable gaming system.

'Dark Souls 3' for Nintendo Swtich

LetsPlayVideoGames reported that From Software is working on "Dark Souls 3" for Nintendo Switch and the game is said to be performing at a certain level that they are satisfied with. The game developer is not yet certain whether to release the title on Nintendo Switch yet, although discussions are already underway to determine the financial viability of launching the three main "Dark Souls" titles bundled with their DLCs.

A small group is said to be working on a Nintendo Switch port, while From Software is observing initial sales data to determine whether they should produce ports. If the project is viable, "Dark Souls 3" may be approved to launch on the Nintendo Switch on the same day that it releases on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, together with all DLC.

From Software Waiting for Initial Sales Data

GameRant wrote that From Software is acting cautiously, since it has yet to be seen whether the Nintendo Switch will be popular among players. Some analysts conservatively estimate that the Nintendo Switch will sell at least 2 million units.

The company's stock actually dropped after the Nintendo Switch was first showcased. In the meantime, it is very likely that a "Dark Souls 3" port is actually available. From Software is keen on introducing the series to new platforms, before it may launch another sequel.

The Nintendo Switch third-party support list includes From Software, although the titles that it is developing for the Switch has yet to be announced. "Dark Souls" is actually very difficult to play, especially if it makes the transition to a mobile platform.

From Software is also said to have plans in bringing "Dark Souls" to virtual reality (VR). In the meantime, all of these remain in speculation until an official confirmation is out.

Fans will have to wait for the Nintendo Switch to arrive sometime in 2017, and hope that it garners enough users to warrant a "Dark Souls" re-launch. More updates and details are expected soon.
