‘Titanfall 2’: New Live Fire Mode & Maps, Coming This Month

The single-player campaign that focuses on infantry soldiers will have a new DLC. "Titanfall 2's" new trailer that shows the upcoming Live Fire mode was released by Respawn Entertainment. The new Live Fire mode of the game together with the return of the Colony map is scheduled to release anytime this February.

Live Fire is a 6v6 pilot-centric mode with a slight Capture the Flag twist and no respawns, according to Gamespot. Live Fire is a mode with rounds that only last for 60 seconds and with no Titans. After the 60 seconds elapses, a team must either be holding the neutral flag or eliminate all the enemies to be the victor. Live Fire update will be a free DLC for everyone like all the other maps and modes.

"Titanfall 2's" Live Fire mode is a fast-paced round-based 6v6 pilot elimination mode, as Griffin Dean said, the designer behind the new mode. According to Polygon, Live Fire designer Griffin Dean explained that the game mode was inspired by speedball matches in paintball because it is about forwarding momentum fundamentally. Players should attack aggressively with no hesitation in order to advance against the enemy, and make or break the team's victory by making decisions in a split second.

On the other hand, there are two new Live Fire maps that are specifically designed for the mode. Stacks and Meadow, the two new maps which were described as tight and enclosed death boxes for the fast-paced and intense nature of the mode. The two Live Fire maps are designed around controlled sightlines, choke points and flank routes.

Regarding on the new maps, there are more new "Titanfall 2" maps to come on the game. Included in the list is the one called Columns, in the "Titanfall 2's" Coliseum mode, and the comeback of Colony, from the original Titanfall.
