‘Battlefield 1’ Winter Update: Launches This Week, Not Related To Its New DLC

"Battlefield 1", the first-person shooter video game published by Electronic Arts, announces their game update. "Battlefield 1" aficionados are in for an extravagance this week, as Electronic Arts tease a gigantic winter update on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.

Together with an image publicizing it, "Battlefield 1's" official twitter tweeted out saying that the winter update is coming. According to Gamespot, the "Battlefield 1" winter update is not directly connected to "They Shall Not Pass", the game's first downloadable content.

The first DLC of "Battlefield 1" will be set to release sometime this March. The "Battlefield 1" first game DLC added four new maps, namely, Verdun Heights, Fort Vaux, Soissons, and Rapture. A new game mode called Frontlines is also included, aside from the French army being associated with the game.

By chance, changes that were found in the recent "Battlefield 1's" Community Test Environment patch might be the content of the winter update. Even though the exact content of the Battlefield's winter update remains a puzzle.

The "Battlefield 1" winter update is set to release this week and aims to be a somewhat large update for the popular game, said LevelCamp. Electronic Arts and EA DICE got a lot of feedbacks through the process when they launched a public test server within "Battlefield 1".

Even though EA and DICE have not released any specifics of what's to come in this "Battlefield 1" update, speculations say that this update could probably fix the problems spoken by the public test server players.

To fix the said issues, the update should include the return of ribbons, which are a way of promoting teamwork. It must also include an upsurge to the maximum rank value to 50, and the availability to vote for the next map at the end of the game. Only few detail have been revealed about the update yet, but the update is expected to be as large as the Fall update.
