'Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite' News & Update: Possible Character Apperances Include Groot, Asura & Rachid; Details Here!

When the sizzling hot reveal trailer for "Marvel VS Capcom: Infinite" dropped, heads were turning and hearts were racing at this year's PlayStation Experience in San Francisco. But with only a few things revealed in the trailer, fans were left speculating as to who the characters will be.

During Sony's press conference at PlayStation Experience 2016, Capcom has officially announced the much awaited "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite." It was then that the game's official trailer debuted. The trailer opened with Mega Man and Ryu partnering up to face off against Iron Man. The two fire projectiles together, as Ryu runs in while charging himself up. Both Mega Man and Ryu grabed the Infinity Stones out of the air. As the trailer went on, Captain Marvel appeared joining Iron Man's side.

Coming from the trailer of "Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite," Iron Man, Captain America, Ryu and Mega Man are official characters. Who else amongst the Marvel and Capcom characters are going to join them? - This left video gamers speculating.

It is said that for Capcom, Asura and Rashid could make an entrance. They might be new to the video games world but they hold some pretty interesting skills and power set for players to experiment with.

It can be recalled that Rocket was introduced in the last game even before the "Guardians of the Galaxy" movie was released. By that time, Groot was yet unavailable. So rumors are rife that Groot too could be present in the new "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" title because of his great exposure in the film and in other media.

Meanwhile, Marvel Entertainment's executive producer Mike Jones shared that Marvel Vs. Capcom has been one of the most celebrated franchises among fans for over two decades now. He went on by saying that they are raising the bar with "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" and are excited for players to get their hands on it next year. For whatever is in store for the "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" enthusiasts, they will have to wait for a little more weeks as its release date is set sometime in 2017.
